Isuzu Engine Manufacturing Hokkaido is based in Hokkaido’s city of Tomakomai, supporting logistics worldwide through the manufacture and maintenance of parts for Isuzu trucks and buses.
Its main business is aluminum forging, where molten aluminum is placed in molds to make the base for engine and transmission parts, then machined to cut and finish the aluminum pieces made from the molds, and assembled into a completed unit. It also rebuilds engines and transmissions that have deteriorated, broken down, or been salvaged from trucks that are no longer in service, to extend their functional lifetimes.
