We’ve enjoyed a highly successful year in 2023, with strong sales and demand for our products worldwide. Global sales of 6,032 were the highest in our 119-year history. Notably, demand for Bespoke personalisation was higher than ever before, both in terms of number and value of the projects requested by clients.
The USA was our single largest market worldwide, followed by Greater China. Europe saw record sales; the Middle East retained its crown as the leading source of the most technically demanding Bespoke commissions. Record annual sales and growth in Asia-Pacific were fuelled in particular by a strong performance in Korea, whose vibrant economy is reflected in a rapidly expanding luxury sector.
Every motor car hand-built at Goodwood during 2023 included Bespoke elements. This unrivalled offer, providing clients the opportunity to personalise any aspect of their motor car, contributed significantly to our strong performance. A key factor in this success is our Private Office network, which expanded to Shanghai during 2023, following the successful launch of Private Office Dubai in 2022. Two further Private Offices in other international locations will open in the next 12 months.
To support the growing ambition of client commissions and long-term focus on Bespoke craftsmanship, we announced plans last year for substantial new investment in the Home of Rolls-Royce at Goodwood.
That investment will also support the development of our model portfolio: the autumn of 2023 was notable for the first client deliveries of Spectre. Following its triumphant public unveiling in October 2022, the first all-electric Rolls-Royce in history has attracted enormous interest, particularly among younger clients, laying a firm foundation for our bold, all-electric future.
