9:11 Magazine Episode 19, ‘NEW GROUND’, brings Porsche stories about challenges and innovations.

20 years ago, Porsche set course for China: two colleagues report; Tough conditions for the Taycan Cross Turismo – behind the scenes of the elaborate film shoot; Porsche Esports: sim racers train for competition.

Chapter 1 – Beijing 2001: Porsche opens its first showroom in mainland China at the illustrious Chang An Club, confident that its motorsport philosophy will appeal to Chinese customers. The venture becomes a success story. Robin Li, the first employee, and race-car driver Li Chao talk about Porsche culture, Chinese economic growth, and the joy of driving 911.

Chapter 2 – Before its premiere, the Taycan Cross Turismo – Porsche’s all-electric all-rounder demonstrated its impressive abilities around the world on dirt roads, muddy fields, rocky paths, and icy curves. The makers of this video for the world premiere provide a unique and previously unpublished behind-the-scenes view of an exciting film project under exceptional conditions.

Chapter 3 – Porsche race cars are the hero cars of the gamer community. High-powered vehicles head to victory at events like the virtual TAG Heuer Esports Supercup. Moritz Löhner took the title in two final races of the 2020 Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland series. Rudy van Buren is another successful driver, now in real-world racing too. The two sim racers talk about the everyday lives of racing champions, the thrill of the chase in simulators, and the desire to drive a real Porsche.
