9:11 Magazine, Episode 18: ZEITGEIST presents teams at the top of their game: the Ingrams and their Porsche collection, a dramatic loss, and a fantastic triumph; twenty-five years of the Boxster: a journey in time with two insiders on the innovative Porsche Roadster; trial by fire on the Nordschleife at the Nürburgring: two racing pros on the Porsche 911 GT3.

Chapter 1 – The Ingram family of Durham, North Carolina, is known for its remarkable private collection of Porsche vehicles. When an explosion and fire damaged the warehouse and many rare vehicles within it, the Ingrams were undaunted. They set their cars to rights again—and shortly thereafter took the win in the Postwar Sports class in the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance with a restored Porsche 356 B Carrera GTL Abarth. Applause for a fantastic comeback.

Chapter 2 – “Please build it exactly like this,” was the word at Porsche after the Boxster concept was named Best of Show at the 1993 Detroit Motor Show. The success story of the innovative two-seater continues. Insiders Hans-Jürgen Wöhler and Sebastian Bien talk about the series development of the first generation and the evolution of the roadster with an exclusive design and fascinating drive concept.

Chapter 3 – High five on the Nürburgring: the brand-new GT3, high-performance sports car from the Porsche 911 GT family, clocks a sub-seven-minute lap time on the Nordschleife. Jörg Bergmeister was along for the ride. “Amazing,” says Walter Röhrl, who had broken the eight-minute mark in a predecessor GT3. In our talk, our two racing pros talk shop about the performance of the new series car, the transfer of racing technology to the production model, and what makes the new car such a dream.
