60 developers, 12 Startups and only 24 hours. Here are some impressions of the #Hack.IAA.
“STOP TALKING – START HACKING” – this was the slogan under which Mercedes-Benz staged a 24-hour hackathon at the IAA in Frankfurt in the rooms of the me Convention. Using the Mercedes-Benz Mobile SDK, over 60 young developers in 12 teams developed new Mercedes services for Mercedes me customers.
The Mercedes-Benz Mobile SDK is a kind of tool kit for simplified software development. It gives developers access to various programming interfaces to the vehicle. These can provide information, for example, on the current fuel level or on the mileage driven. The goal is to enrich the Mercedes me offering with additional external services to create an even better customer experience. The tension at the event, as well as the enthusiasm of all participants we could capture in this Video.
