mechanic to site manager and celebrated huge wins as a driver. Herbert Linge
looks back at a life in which he set major milestones for Porsche.
In April 1943, Herbert Linge became one of the first to do an apprenticeship as a mechanic with Porsche. Later he would rise to become the site manager of the Porsche Development Center in Weissach. He was also a prolific racer, with 11 starts at Le Mans alone.
