On his favorite track, Laguna Seca Raceway in Monterey, California, Rod Emory made his comeback as a race car driver and drove a Porsche 935 for the first time at the Rennsport Reunion 2018. 9:11 Magazine was on hand to witness the Californian in action. The race car has venerable history going back to 1977, when it raced at the Nürburgring, Hockenheim and Brands Hatch with Porsche engineer Günther Steckkönig behind the wheel. The highlight of the racing career of this 935 was its appearance in the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1978. In this interview, Rod Emory shares stories from his life, which is inextricably linked with Porsche.
